About DOÑA LOLA: Each Sunday was a sacred day for Doña Lola, or as we called her with love, “Abue”. At her home, love and food never missed the table, especially with the arrival of her grandchildren. As in every great Mexican family, Abue prepared us every delicious meal, especially her mystical corn tortillas. Abue’s tortilla recipe has existed in our family for over 100 years, sharing her secret for perfection from generation to generation. As a family, half Puerto Rican and half Mexican, we wanted to share the secret of our family gatherings with Puerto Ricans.
